More support for the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Air Ambulance
Earlier this year, Assistant Provincial Grand Master,
Bill Withers, on behalf of the Freemasons’ Grand Charity presented a cheque for a further £4,000 to the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Air Ambulance.
The presentation took place at Thruxton Airfield where the helicopters are based. Its Chief Executive Alex Lochrane commented: “Freemasons are one of our most loyal supporters and they have donated many thousands of pounds
to HIOWAA since the charity became operational in July 2007.
We are very grateful to them for their ongoing support and for playing such a significant role in helping to keep the Air Ambulance flying.” Bill Withers responded by saying: “We are delighted to be able
to show our support for Hampshire Air Ambulance once again. Charitable giving is central to freemasonry, and Hampshire and Isle of Wight freemasons are especially happy to support organisations
that help to save lives and provide support to people in emergency situations. The Freemasons’ Grand Charity works on behalf of all freemasons in England and Wales, donating millions of pounds to worthy causes every year.”

Bournemouth Knole Club News
The now traditional Knole Club annual spring weekend away was held at Warner Leisure’s Holme Lacy House Hotel in Herefordshire. The holiday, which was very well organised by Arthur Smith, was a “Tom O’Connor Comedy Weekend”, and the famous comedian, TV presenter and actor entertained the assembled guests on the Saturday night with his great sense of humour.
On the Sunday morning he spoke of his experiences with other entertainers throughout his career which was excellent. The weekend combined with great food was a huge success and included trips to Hereford and Hay-on-Wye. Why don’t you come and join us? We have regular coffee mornings, cream teas, an annual lunch and a Christmas party as well as a weekend away.
