Solent Walk the Wight
Many freemasons were involved in the organisation of the 25th anniversary of Walk the Wight. After a very foggy start the weather improved and by the time the walkers started to arrive the sun was shining brightly.
Hampshire and Isle of Wight freemasons provided over 25 marshals to assist with the smooth running of the finish line and
at other marshalling points around the island where over 8,000 walkers trekked in support of most worthy charities.
Feedback from The Earl Mountbatten Hospice and those who walked the Wight was very positive and they were clearly grateful to the
Freemasons for giving up their time to help run the event which passed off without undue drama.
